A New Chapter

It’s been a while since I posted a new commentary on my blog, and the reason is I’ve accepted a new professional role in the nutrition/wellness industry.

Making a Difference

As most of you know, I’ve spent the last few years being a champion of health & wellness while offering consulting and advisory support to private equity companies. While I provided insight, strategy, executional pathways, aided in valuation assessments, and was in position to step into no less than five executive leadership roles across a range of industries, health and wellness is the area where I feel I am meant to become an influencer. In fact, a few years ago, I created my personal mission:

Become a credible champion, teacher, mentor, developer and trusted advisor to help people reverse chronic disease & shift their illness trajectory to wellness.

So, after some reflection & negotiation, I have accepted the role of Vice President, Marketing & Insights with Glanbia Nutritionals. For those you who are not familiar with Glanbia, it is a $4B+ corporation, based in Ireland but with a huge North American presence, that is segmented into two main business units.

  • Glanbia Nutritionals is a leading worldwide supplier of nutritional solutions, dairy and non-dairy proteins, cheese & bioactive ingredients. Our role is to partner with companies to improve the health and functionality of finished products, with a desire to support a healthy lifestyle through all of the steps of life’s journey.
  • Glanbia Performance Nutrition is a leading worldwide marketer of supplements under some very well known brands such as Optimum, BSN (Syntha), IsoPure, Think!, and Slim Fast.

As one of my favorite quotes from John C. Maxwell states: “Change is Inevitable; Growth is Optional.” I’m excited to embark on this next chapter in my journey and look forward to being a change agent toward health and wellness from a position of influence. I may not be blogging quite as often, but will continue to share evidenced-based news and perspectives on health and wellness.

Thank you for all of your support!
